小布施の四阿　Obuse,Nagano 2014

美しい景観で有名な長野県小布施町にある、町の有志でつくり、手入れをしている花壇の中に作られた四阿のプロジェクト。町の東側に位置する山の麓にあり、町を一望できる美しい風景と手入れの行き届いた美しい花壇の中で、この場所の景観の一部となり、木々の中にそっと佇む、人を覆うための軽い屋根だけがあるような四阿を構想した。構造は、杉板で葺いた木の小屋組の薄い屋根を鉄骨の柱で支えている。鉄骨の柱頭と柱脚のディテールを工夫することで、柱の断面を細くし、屋根の浮遊感を獲得することができた。時が経てば屋根の杉板も景色に馴染むとともに、花壇と同じく人の手入れを受けていくことでこの場所に強く根付いた姿となっていくだろう。

The gazebo project has been created in a park that has been maintained  by town volunteers at Obuse:Nagano Prefecture, the place is famous for its beautiful scenery. Azumaya  was schemed as a light weight roof that only covers people, which was located on the foot of the mountain at the east side of the town. It has becomes a part of its fine scenery and gently nestled in the trees of well cared beautiful park, and a picturesque scenery of the town can be overlooked from the gazebo. Structurally, the thin roof of wood roof truss covered with cedar bark was supported by the steel coulombs.Through devising the detail of the chapter and pedestal steel, the pillars of the cross section becomes thinner and the feeling of floating roof has been achieved. In the process of the time, cedar roof will be adapted to its scenery, and will take a strong root in the place by receiving care of people like the beautiful park.
