上町の住居 　Tokyo 2014

築40年を超えるマンションの1室のフルリノベーションのプロジェクト。
建物の構造上、負担のかかる大きなプラン変更をせずに、室同士の間仕切り方を調整することで限られたスペースに奥行きと明るさをもたらした。廊下と寝室を区切る間仕切りは、合板とポリカーボネートのストライプ壁とすることで拡がり感のある空間としつつ、布製のスクリーンで視線を遮ることができる仕組みとなっている。古いコンクリートの粗が残る天井は、光沢と厚みのある床用塗料で塗装し、光の反射と躯体の凸凹がつくる影によって、空間に深みが生まれている。

The project is a full-renovation of a single room which apartment was constructed over 40 years ago.Through adjusting room partitions, a depth and brightness has been brought into the limited space that was done without significant plan change to reduce the burden on the building structure. The partition between a corridor and a bed room has a mechanism that gives a sense of space expansion by using the plywood with a polycarbonate stripe wall as a material, which also can block a sight through the fabric screen at the same time. The roughness of old concrete which remains on the ceiling was painted with shiny thick floor paint, that generates a depth of the space with the shadow created by the light reflection and unevenness of building structure.
