同志社大学田辺キャンパス礼拝堂コンペ案

同志社大学の田辺キャンパスに計画されている礼拝堂のコンペ応募案。
歴史ある大学の比較的新しいキャンパスの中で変わらない価値とは何か、そのことを課題として取り組んだ。建物という物質にその価値を見いだすのではなく、その場所に注ぐ光や風、季節の移り変わりを価値として生み出せないかということを考えた。
アルミの鋳物で作られたフィンをもつブロックを、向きを変えながら積層することで、刻々と変化する陽の光に呼応して、礼拝堂の内部の様相が劇的に変化する。そんな「光のレンガ」の壁面によって構成される礼拝堂を提案した。

It is a proposal for a chapel competition that has been planed in Tanabe campas of Doshisha university. The task was to find out what is the value that not has been changed  in the relatively new campus of the historic university. Light and wind pouring in its place and the seasonal change was considered to generate its value, rather than building as a substance. The interior aspect of the chapel changes dramatically in respond to every-changing sunlight by stacking the aluminum casted block with fins while changing the orientation.
